Where is this going?

Ok, this is a newsletter now. Once upon a time, it would have been called a blog, but it’s 2025, so: a newsletter. I’ll say something later about why I’m doing this, but for the time being, a few words about how I’m going to do it.

My intention is to post something once or twice a week. For the first few months I’ll be mirroring these posts to social media, hoping to convince some of my hundreds of friends and followers (!) to subscribe to this thing.

What will I post? Pictures, of the cat and other things, some old, some new. Notes on what I’m reading, what I’m writing, maybe on other things though probably not much of that but we’ll see. News if there is any: for example this is news: here it is. A newsletter. Or, if you're old and prefer the retro term, a blog.
